100% biobased binder

What truly sets enduura® elba apart is its 100% biobased binder used in the chipboard core. Instead of fossil-based adhesives, it uses tannins extracted from tree bark; a natural by-product that is now put to full use. After extraction, the remaining bark is repurposed as mulch in horticulture, ensuring nothing goes to waste.The result: a 100% biobased board material that is both innovative and circular.

  • Formaldehyde-free, with no harmful synthetic adhesives

  • Smart use of natural by-products – every part of the tree is utilised

The core of enduura® elba is made from chipboard produced with wood sourced from sustainably managed European forests. This ensures a responsible origin, with respect for biodiversity and ecological balance.

The material is also fully compatible with Keller’s circular kitchen process – meaning that once the kitchen reaches the end of its life cycle, it can be returned and reprocessed into new raw material. This way, your kitchen truly remains part of the circular chain.

biogenic melamine

The melamine top layer of enduura® elba is not only beautifully finished but also produced more sustainably than traditional melamine.


Thanks to an innovative production technology, Dutch biogas is used instead of natural gas, resulting in a 40% reduction in CO₂ emissions compared to conventional melamine.

This international recognition highlights the sustainable and innovative direction we have been pursuing for many years, proving that responsible material choices, smart design and large-scale production can go hand in hand.

It is finished with an eco edge banding made from 50% post-industrial recycled material. By reusing existing resources, we reduce the demand for new raw materials – and with it, our CO₂ emissions. A high-quality edge banding also ensures the long-lasting durability of the kitchen.
