We are committed to ensuring that our services are provided in an open, fair and transparent way. In this context, we believe it is important that you know exactly what personal data we process and for what purposes we use this personal data. We set this out clearly in this privacy statement. We also work in partnership with other companies and organizations. Furthermore, we are part of a group that includes other companies. Data is also exchanged between these companies within our group.

What personal data about you do we process?
DKG Holding B.V. may process the following – ordinary – personal data about you:
• First name initials, prefixes to surname and surname;
• Address details;
• Gender;
• Telephone number;
• Email address;
• IP address;
• Web browser and device type;
• Payment details (bank account number, invoices);
• VAT number;
• Preference data, such as home design preferences and product preferences that are relevant to our services;
• Marketing preferences;
• Information about your activity on our website;
• Information about your browsing behaviour across different websites (for example, because this company is part of an advertising network);
• List of your contact details via an app;
• Other personal data that you actively provide, for example by telephone, in writing, by creating a profile in one of our apps, or by uploading photos.
DKG Holding B.V. does not intend to process special categories of personal data or personal data relating to criminal convictions. If this is nevertheless necessary, for example in the context of employment relationships, legal obligations or the provision of services, this is done exclusively in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation.
DKG Holding B.V. will only process personal data that is necessary for the provision of our services, for the performance of the contract, for legitimate interests, or for compliance with any legal obligation. If you or third parties fail to provide us with certain information about you, this may make it impossible for us to perform the contract or provide the services.
If you provide us with data about third parties, we assume that you inform them about the processing of their personal data by DKG Holding B.V. and refer them to this privacy statement.
In some cases, we do not receive personal data directly from you but via third parties, such as dealers, clients, suppliers, landlords, property developers or other business partners. Such data consists primarily of contact details and information required to perform a contract or to contact you. We assume that these third parties have lawfully provided us with your personal data.
What do we use your personal data for?
The purposes for which DKG Holding B.V. processes your personal data include those listed below. The data is used and stored only for these purposes.
1. To perform contracts, such as the provision of the services or products you have requested, or to contact you by telephone to enable us to provide these services. We process personal data to be able to perform contracts we enter into with, for example, clients, buyers, tenants, suppliers and subcontractors. If we have received your details from clients, we have obtained express consent from those clients to contact you to arrange a no-obligation appointment.
2. To process information you have requested. If you wish to receive information about our services or to be kept informed about our products, we process your data so we can respond to you. Forms we use for this purpose include:
- Inspiration brochure request form;
- Contact request form;
- Newsletter subscription form.
3. To process your payment.
4. To improve the website and services of DKG Holding B.V. We do this in two ways: directly (for example the data you provide to us via our website) and indirectly (via cookie technology).
5. For marketing activities. We process personal data for direct marketing activities only after obtaining consent. Persons whose consent is sought may include former and existing customers and contacts acquired through events or campaigns. Which bases for processing apply?
DKG Holding B.V. processes personal data only if there is a legal basis for doing so, as required by the General Data Protection Regulation. The following bases for processing apply:
1. Performance of contracts
In connection with our services and the conclusion of contracts, we collect and use the personal data necessary for making an offer, and for concluding and performing the contract. In this context we process personal data of clients, buyers, tenants, subcontractors and suppliers with whom we have entered into a contract in connection with development, construction, letting, service and maintenance.
2. Legitimate interest
The collection and use of personal data is necessary in the interests of the company and its business. For example for commercial purposes, such as offering products or services that may be of interest to you, or conducting market research to improve our products and services. DKG Holding B.V. also has a legitimate interest in attracting new customers and maintaining business relationships, and in collecting personal data for that purpose.
3. Consent of data subjects
DKG Holding B.V. may process personal data on the basis of consent. For instance, we ask data subjects for their consent before using (analytical) cookies. You are always free to withhold or withdraw your consent. In that case, we may be unable to perform the contract or to provide our services.

We have endeavoured to provide as comprehensive an overview as possible of the personal data about you that we process or have processed, and to specify the purposes and legal bases for processing. However, we also realize that it is impossible to do this exhaustively and in full detail. One of the reasons is that there may be other or unforeseen purposes in the future that require the processing of personal data. However, we would like to emphasize that we will continue to handle your personal data with the utmost care and attention in such cases.

In order to perform the contract or provide our services correctly, we rely on the accuracy of the information that is known to us. If your details change, please let us know.
With whom does DKG Holding B.V. share your data?
As a general rule, we do not share your data with others. We share your data only if this is necessary for the provision of our services, for the performance of the contract, because of a legitimate interest, or if we are under a legal obligation to do so. In that case, we may disclose data to, inter alia:
1. Our own employees
We share the data with employees to the extent that the purpose of processing is consistent with their role. For example: an employee contacts a customer to provide support. We need contact details for this.
2. Dealers
DKG Holding B.V. uses a dealer network for the sale and delivery of kitchens. Once consent has been given, the data of an interested party is shared with the dealer/s in the region where the interested party lives.
3. Suppliers and subcontractors working for DKG Holding B.V.
We work with suppliers and subcontractors and share the necessary data with them to enable them to do their work. We make clear arrangements with them regarding confidentiality, their responsibilities and the scope of their processing activities, and lay down these arrangements in (processing) agreements. Examples include suppliers of kitchen appliances, fitters, etc.
4. Public authorities
We may disclose your personal data to public authorities if we are legally required to do so.
How long does DKG Holding B.V. retain your personal data?
- DKG Holding B.V. does not retain your data for longer than is necessary to achieve the purposes set out in this privacy statement.
- We retain our records for a period of ten years, in accordance with our legal obligation, plus our warranty period. This period begins on termination of the contract.
- When you send us an email or ask a question using a contact form, the information you provide will be retained for as long as is necessary to fully answer and deal with your enquiry, which depends on the nature of the form or the content of your email.
- Data used for marketing activities is retained for a maximum of one year from the date of contact in connection with the provision of products or services.
If a longer retention period for your personal data is required or appropriate by virtue of statutory or other regulations or for legitimate interests, we may apply a longer retention period.
How do we secure personal data?
DKG Holding B.V. takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized modification. In addition, the ICT company we have engaged has implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure a level of security that is commensurate with the risk to the rights and freedoms of persons. Processing within/outside the EU
DKG Holding B.V. is a global organization with business processes, management structures and technical systems that extend beyond geographical borders. DKG Holding B.V. may therefore transfer personal data to parties located outside the European Economic Area (EEA). In that case, DKG Holding B.V. will ensure that an appropriate level of protection is guaranteed, in accordance with the GDPR. This is achieved by using standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission, by transferring data on the basis of an adequacy decision or by providing other appropriate safeguards as referred to in the GDPR. If necessary, additional technical and organizational measures are taken to protect personal data.

How can you access your personal data and exercise your rights?
Under the GDPR, you have the following rights in relation to your personal data:

• the right to object to the processing of your personal data;
• the right to portability of your personal data (data portability);
• the right to withdraw consent for personal data processing at any time;
• the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
DKG Holding B.V. does not use automated decision-making or profiling of personal data that produces legal effects concerning you or that similarly significantly affects you. You can request access to your personal data, request rectification, erasure or restriction of processing of your personal data, or notify us that you object to the processing of your personal data or that you wish to exercise the right to data portability by sending an email to privacy@dkggroep.nl. As we will have to make sure that the request or notification originates from you, we may verify your identity using the data we already hold about you. If necessary, we may ask you to provide additional information to verify your identity.
We will respond within one month of receiving your request. This period may be extended by a further two months if necessary. In that case, we will inform you accordingly in a timely manner.
